This first set of yarn samples have been chosen from the 72 British pure breeds of sheep. Included in this set are 10g each of:
* Bluefaced Leicester (2ply DK)
* Charollais (2 ply Chunky)
* Kerry Hill (1ply laceweight)
* Manx Loaghtan (2ply DK)
* Romney (2ply DK)
This set will introduce you to the different handles,textures, weights and colourings of these 5 pure breeds collected from across the UK. They have all been woollen spun at a mill in Yorkshire.
Each sample comes with a blank note sheet, for you to add your own comments about the yarn, and a detailed label noting the fibre characteristics, and a short history of the breed.
